Sinclair ZX Mods & Repairs
Spectrum +2A.
I found this by the garbage bin downstairs and it worked at once. I replaced the ROMS with the +3E ROMS, added composite out, a stereo board by Ben Versteeg, ON/OFF switch and external tape input plug. |
Simple 8 bit IDE InterfaceI built this interface to use it with my spectrums 48k toghether with the Pera Putnik ROM. It also features a NMI button to take advantage of the PPROM's snapshot feature. Works really nice. The circuitry is based on the one from Pera Putnik. It works with the Spectrum +3e roms as well.

ZX Cartridge interface II for +2A/+3I originally made this interface to use the ZXC3 cartridge with my 48K Speccy. Then I decided to add a switch to be able to use cartridges with my +2A (Sinclair IF 2 doesnt work with Amstrad models). Also added a NMI button to use with alternative ROMs. The board is hosted on an Atari 2600 cartridge case too. The circuit is based on the one from Droy and the +2A/+3 compatibility mod was suggested by Paul farrow.

+3 External Floppy DriveJust a nicely cased floppy drive to be used with a Spectrum +3. It included a power supply inside the case.

Sinclair Interface 2. I bought it from ebay very cheap. It had the edge connector broken. I replaced with some ISA connector I took from an old PC motherboard.

Mitsao Cassette DatacorderThis is my old tape recorder. It was stored for about 20 years. I had to change the rubber belt and it was ready to work again. It misses the door as at the time it was custom to take it out for azimuth tuning.
